Angela O'Connell

I am an Irish artist, originally from Waterville, on the breathtakingly beautiful Ring of Kerry, Ireland. I have lived in London for most of my life and I work from my studio in Palmersgreen.

Contemporary painting is my passion and I am largely a self-taught artist and have attended art schools: the Art Academy, Central St Martins and the Prince's Trust Art School. I have a distinct style and produce one-off original paintings which are mainly done in oil and you are therefore guaranteed a unique piece of artwork.

The excitement for me is in working on something completely different each time I produce a piece of work. I mainly produce very large oil paintings but can work to any size. I largely paint from imagination and produce contemporary, abstract and figurative work.

My site is a mixture of recent artwork, including my new venture into teddy bear paintings!, which I hope you find interesting and, if not on this visit, please have a look from time to time as the site will be regularly updated.

I am willing to undertake commissions for contemporary/abstract/impressionist work and I can produce an original painting in a short timescale. I provide a certificate of originality for each piece of artwork which acts as a guarantee that a client would receive a one off piece of original artwork and that I shall not produce an identical painting again.

References, upon request, can be provided from customers who have commissioned work from me.
